Meeting Update AKA: A Whole Lotta Stuff To Do

Well its been a very busy last couple of weeks but we have rounded the corner and are heading home to wrap up another successful semester. We have alot of items on our to do list so lets do this!!

1) Bolsa Chica Wetland Hike this Saturday at 10:00am
Please plan on getting there at 10:00am so we can be prepared to walk at 10:15. I have attached a google map of the location, you can park for free behind the Jack in the Box on the corner of PCH and Warner and walk over or park at your own risk in the shopping center across the street. We will head to Julias house after the hike for some light refreshments and intellectual conversion afterwards.

2) Cultural Night at Udupi Palace Artesia CA
Mark your calender for December 4th, thats the night for some kick butt indian food. We should plan on getting there at 7pm, we will arrange carpools as the date gets closer. Feel free to bring a guest it will be funn ( thats fun with 2 n's ).

3) End of semester Pot Luck/Beer Luck
The date has not been officially set but it will be December 15th or 16th so be prepared! Please start thinking of what you would like to bring and we will arrange a sign up sheet at our next meetings. Also if you want to do a particular theme  let us know your ideas.

4) Charity Event - Christmas Toy Drive
We have decided to do a toy drive this year and we will have flyers to promote the event by the next meeting as well as all other important info, keep it the back of your mind if you see a cool toy while yore out and about pick it up and donate!

5) Tee-shirt Design Contest
Send us you ideas and or designs for our next GSA tee-shirt. Any ideas are welcome but keep in mind you will be wearing them! Basic designs work best, simple slogans or images are ideal. Please think of at least one so the contest will be competitive. Submit your ideas before our next meetings in 2 weeks.

Remember that Geography Awareness Week is coming fast and we have alot of events occurring through the department so keep an eye out for the upcoming emails.
