Week of Welcome

Here are some photos of Week of Welcome in case you missed it or only blurred past it on your way to class.  GSA had a table out and we promoted geography to all who passed by.  Getting rained out though on the second day didn't help but it was still a good time.  I hope everyone else had a chance to enjoy it.  Or at least grab some free stuff.

Welcome Back!

I hope everyone had a nice relaxing winter break because it's time to get back to work!  But don't worry, there will plenty of fun things to do too.

First up will be Week of Welcome on Wednesday and Thursday from 11am to 2 pm.  The GSA will have a table set up and people waiting to answer your questions about geography, such as why it's awesome.  Or we are also looking for volunteers to help us spread the word about geography.  You don't have to stay for a long period of time.  Even 5 minutes would be greatly appreciated.  If you're interested in helping or have other questions just email us: csulbgsa@gmail.com

The first GSA meeting will be on Jan. 30 at 5pm in PH1-230.  If you have time, please stop by and say hi.  After that meetings will be every other week on Wed. at 1pm (PH1-230) and Thurs. 5pm (PH1-230).

The Los Angeles Geographical Society (LAGS) will have their first FREE public lecture of the year on February 7 at 8pm.  Directions can be found here.  There will be 2 more lectures on March 7 and April 4.  More info on those later.
